Started in 1846 by Filippo Mazzetti, the family distilling business has been handed down from father to son until today through six generations.
In fact, every year the best pomace from Monferrato flows into the Antica Distilleria of Altavilla, giving rise to as many single-variety grappas.
Obtained from the freshest pomace and distilled with steam stills, after careful and scrupulous discarding of heads and tails, the grappas are kept for several years in fine oak barrels and in cherry, chestnut, almond and French oak barriques;
until a complete harmony of taste and aroma is achieved, keeping the floral and fruity notes intact.
They are the result of a production process handed down with passion and wisdom up to the current owner, Filippo Mazzetti together with his wife Laura and his children Fabrizio and Alessandro.
