It was the years ‘50.
At the Macario house, on summer afternoons, Grandma Vittoria invented refreshing drinks for both adults and children. The ingredients were simple, the flavors unforgettable: those who tasted them were enthusiastic about them.
The family then decided to undertake a small artisanal production, so as to allow others to enjoy its genuine taste as well. For a few years, the company continued to thrive, meeting with public approval; then the elderly founder ceased operations.
The story of that special adventure, along with the memory of his grandmother and her recipes, inspired one of his grandchildren to revive the project, preserving the spirit of those times.
Having joined the Holdim group in 2015, today the Macario brand is experiencing a second youth, respecting tradition and with an unchanged mission: to quench thirst in style, through drinks with simple and immediate flavors.
Just as Vittoria managed, in the ‘50s, in the kitchen of the Macario house.
Macario Drinks has rediscovered traditional drinks with an exquisite retro flavor since their packaging: the pin-ups featured on the labels, in fact, nod to a very specific collective imagination: a postcard from a past that never turns yellow.
